It never rains here in Los Angeles. In fact, I count on one hand the amount of times it's rained since we moved here six months ago. But after dealing with forest fires (which fortunately haven't affected us) and California's worst drought in a hundred years, we are now being tormented by heavy rains. It's been raining off and on for three days, but there doesn't seem to be any chance of the storm clearing. Luckily, I haven't had to go to work for the past three days. Instead, I've been hibernating with a few good books and eating grilled cheese and tomato soup as I safely chronicle the storm's progress from our window.
