{personal} marin headlands

It's tough living in the city without a car. It can start to feel very claustrophobic, especially for two people who aren't "city people." So a couple weeks ago we rented a car and headed north for the day. It was incredibly refreshing to take the route we wanted to take and to get out in the open air, away from San Francisco and its endless bus routes. Our first stop was across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands. We see the Headlands all the time from our side, but it was so nice to finally drive the windy road that's nestled among them, and to see the bridge from a different angle!
